Where to Eat Christmas Dinner in Corralejo Fuerteventura

I have heard (and had it confirmed) that Amigos in Corralejo will be doing a Traditional Christmas Dinner on believe it or not Christmas Day! Well being in Corralejo in Fuerteventura that is actually part of Spain this will be something different. Traditionally the 25th December is quite a sombre affair for the Spanish as there main celebration days are 5th January. This is when there are processions all over Spain in Corralejo the three kings riding camels, walk down the high street in a form of a procession.

This is the Feast of the Epiphany when the Three Kings arrived in Bethlehem. For Spanish children this is the most important day of the year when they wake up to find that Los Reyes Magos (the Three Kings) have left gifts for them in their house. Santa may leave them a token gift on 25th but the Three Kings are their favourites, especially Baltasar who rides a donkey (in other parts of Spain) and is the one believed to leave the gifts. During the day of 6th the Three Kings continue their good work and are seen distributing gifts to children in hospitals all over Spain.

Rest assured those wanting the good ole English Traditional Dinner will be able to book at Amigos. There will be one sitting (not a get in eat and good bye affair!!) Sitting down will commence at 18.00 hrs (giving you plenty of time during the day to top up your tan!) there will be good old Tradition songs a three course meal, with a choice or 3 items for each course and even a vegetarian option for those in your family that what to choose this.

A complete menu is shown on the blog http://amigos-bar-fuerteventura.blogspot.com/ So why not pop along and have a look!

Amigo's Bar and Resturant Fuerteventura

If you are staying in the Las Gaviotas complex it is directly opossite by the Supermarket. If you are staying in the Suite-Hotel Atlantis Atlantis Fuerteventura Resort (try saying that when you have had a few beers!!) walk to the main road and turn right and walk about 200 meters and it is on your right, just by the supermarket.

They do everything from English Breakfast to afternoon snacks to an evening menu that is fairly grand. From Starters, Main Courses to even desserts (if you can fit it in!).

If you find that you can not miss your favorite sport while you are on holiday pop in and see Phil or Lisa and see what they can offer.....Premiership Football, Rugby, Cricket and even F1 motor racing (when in season). To be honest Phil is the sports fan and will help you more, so if you have the wife or girlfriend (thats not a big sports fan!) with you, why not bring her along she can have a chat with Lisa while you can polish of a few G & T's or put the world to right with a stiff Vodka a coke!! As bridget Jones says "if all else fails drink Vodka!!)

I will be doing a little ditty on Private Parties at the Amigo's Bar and Resturant in my next blog Also what to expect Over the Christmas 2007 period at Amigos!
